Shade structure at Bear River Skate Park
Day after day, moms, dads, siblings and coaches bake in the extremely hot sun watching their athletes skate and bike, for hours. We are hiding in the trunks of our cars, wearing hats, scarves, umbrellas, you name it, to avoid being overcooked. I've priced out trees at WIndemere and thought about raising money for these but then there's the irrigation issue. An arbor or something artsy would be amazing! Thank you for this consideration.

Light the Core Trail
I have found many people do not wear headlamps when they take the core trail between the mountain and downtown at night. It would be great if the trail could be lit between The Flour Mill and the Walton Creek cut off. Perhaps solar lights? Or automatic lights? Even installing those at the corners would be such a beneficial safety adjustment.

Add another Roundabout at Mt Werner / Central Pk Drive / Marketplace Plaza
This has to be one of the most inefficient intersections in Steamboat. Traffic is always waiting and often with no other reason than the light color.

Add red no-turn arrows on Walton Creek/US040 when the crosswalk is active
Please consider adding no-turn or red-arrows to the crosswalks at Walton-creek and US40 when the crosswalk is active. The crosswalks are connections to the core trail and have a large amount of pedestrian and recreation usage. The traffic pattern of westbound traffic on Walton Creek turning right on to US40 with the protected lane only lends itself further to unsafe crosswalk usage.

Support local businesses by taxing online transactions
Large e-commerce sites are able to easily evade taxes while small local businesses aren’t. The city should place a significant special sales tax on all online transactions - this would boost local businesses while collecting revenue from businesses located out of town
